Congratulations!

I think working for Fender would be an amazing gig.

You guys make things that go above and beyond simple 'products'. People get emotionally attached to their strats, teles etc etc in a unique way.

It would be pretty cool to be responsible in part for that.

Brad, that was fun reading your posts! So happy you are writing to us! Apparently you inspire people!

yeah The Legend of Brad v The Legend of Nevin is this town big enough for the both of them I wonder, only one way to find out FIIIIIGHT
I heard Brad now has a resident String Quartet follow him around the workplace portraying whatever though he has or mood he happens to be in.

Ha-ha!! You're two for two in making me laugh out loud in this thread, rip!! :lol:[

on the subject of Nevin:
care to contribute a " save Nevin" post Brad, when ever you have a moment.lol

hoped you might think this from Nevin, funny:

SBLS = press manager.

Its low pay and long hours but I am glad you volunteered. By low pay I mean you owe me money.

If you think about it the organizational expansion you're alluding to here has already happened - I'd say the majority of folks still don't even realize that we are now at least indirectly responsible for a whole fleet of additional brands (refer to http://www.kmcmusic.com/) in addition to the previously-understood FMIC brands (http://www.fender.com/other_brands.php).

Yep! They've come a long long way from the days when the closest 'Fender Authorized Service Center' was some radio/appliance store in the middle of nowhere, and for some inexplicable reason, fifty or more years back, the major guitar vendors like Manny's, Jimmy's and Terminal Music in Manhattan, and the original Sam Ash, in Brooklyn, were not.
These little hysterical, historical tidbits are all the more reason why 'old guys rule'. :wink: 8) :lol:

Brad, that is SO hip, good on you! The word "earned" comes strongly to mind. Reading and pondering of tens of thousands of sometimes mopey, dopey or mean, stupid or ignorant posts and feeling when to pull the plug...or let them rant-lite.

In this opinion, Fender has by far the hottest, friendliest, most informative website in the industry and possibly in "many" industries.

As a fair "latecomer" to Fenders (Chicago had few outlets, until the very late 80s), the harem has now become Fender-heavy, largely based on the massive amount of Forum info, promo, discussion and the two Chitown big box chains sporting the line.

Congrats agaim thank you again, best of fortune in your new position.
