A friend sent me this link and I found it interesting. It's the first I've heard of it, but when you have three kids and work I find it hard to keep myself "in the know".

I wouldn't mind giving it a shot if the price is right...

What do YOU think??? :?:

We had a post about these on the forum not too long. I was in the minority, with those that liked them. I don't think I'd drop big bucks on them as I'd prefer stainless frets, but they are cool.

There is something hip about them. If you don't have a collectible guitar, why not give them a go?

One of those "differences," like body, neck and fingerboard material.

+1...I have an old Les Paul copy with an ebony fretboard that is really hurting for some bigger frets, if I try these crystal frets, that'll be the guitar that get's them.

I feel like if I put them in any guitar I'd get a bunch of eye rolls from the guys thinking i'm trying to pretty up a guitar. I'll pass.

Nothing wrong with pretty-ing up a guitar. When I want to pretty up mine, I just ask my wife to hold it...

I think they introduce themselves at NAMM this year... I wonder how much they would make a difference.

I think I would just prefer them plain too... instead of with the abalone looking stuff in them... too much color to handle... :?
