Some guy gave his girlfriend an old guitar to pain and this is the result.

Looks good in my opinon. If I remember my art history right then this is van Goghs Starry Night from circa 1889.

I love Van Gogh...brilliant artist. That's a cool-looking guitar.

I feel sorry for ol' Vince; you know, the iPod earbuds won't stay in on that one side...

The guy's girlfriend is Vincent Van Gogh? How odd.

Hey, I like the treatment of the rosette. Nice!

Cheers - C

She really has a talent,I'd like to have a guitar painted with Eduard Munch's "The Scream",now that would be cool.

I came in ready to rant & rave about how ridiculous some people can be... instead I want one with Botticelli's Birth of Venus on an old guitar.

Nice painting. Tragic, gifted, immortal artist.

Was Vincent in the mental hospital when he was painting that "series"?

I was worrying about this thread, thankfully I got a sigh of relief when I saw the guitar was just a cheap Alvarez ^^

Nice painting though, maybe they should put a clear coat on top of it so he can play it without mucking it up? I don't know enough about finishing to know if that is possible or not. >_>

with that much paint and adding a clear, the sound would probably be very dead sounding.

+1...I think that guitar is more suited as an art piece than an instrument now.
