yes but the point is why or when will fender start to follow the market trend.
im thinking somebody wants them cause thats where the market is going, no denying that. they are sprouting up everywhere around here. you see them at clubs, but no fenders to be found. you will see a blues jr from time to time though, but they really dont fall into the class im asking about though.

I want one with actual bells and whistles, I have heard of them but never seen one. And I want the whistle to be able to vary in pitch so I can make that bomb dropping sound. 8)

fender can do it, we know they can. killer tones, built well, in a small box, at an affordable price.

That would be the Champ 600. For me it provides a Killer Fender Tone in a small well made box, at an affordable price. :D

Despite there being plenty of little dirty amps on the market, I bet Fender are selling a shed load of Champs simply because of that distinct Fender clean tone. I bet none of the amps you listed can provide the "quintessential Fender tone" that the Champ 600 delivers effortlessly. Fender shouldn't bother competing with all the other manufacturers when they already have a product that others can't touch Tone wise.

Sounds to me like you want Fender to produce a small amp that doesn't sound like a small Fender amp. I just can't see that happening any time soon.

More new Fender gear today: some tasty new offerings in the Super-Sonic™ lineup! Make sure you click the "Videos" tab on these product listings to see and hear them in action:

Check 'em out here!

Judging by the videos, That Amp Rocks! :D

If I was in the market for a big amp, I'd certainly consider one of those bad boys!

none of the amps i mentioned want to sound like a fender andy.
my 600 went back the same day i bought it and i bought my pignose instead.
the 600 is lacking in many ways. im guessing i have higher demands on tone than you do
if you think others cant touch the 600's tone. i cant believe that you seriously mean that to be honest. the 600 is an ok amp for what it is, but to think others cant touch it
is kinda............ . no disrespect to you or your opinion andy. seriously.
your a fine craftsman and give plenty to this forum. honestly, much respect to you in many ways. i just dont get what you see in the 600 to hold it so highly. others are blowing the 600 away daily. fender needs to get it together in the mini amp world.
lets look what peavey is doing for an example, since they are not considered "boutique".

Nope, but I service the guitars at work and in return I get to use the works Champ 600 on evenings and weekends.

There's no such thing as bad publicity, guys -- this looks like healthy debate to me so I'd say let's leave it. That said, if we want to return the discussion to the new Super-Sonic™ offerings and how amazingly wicked cool they are that'd certainly be fine by me as well. :-)

I like the inclusion of reverb in the head version. As for 100 watts being excessive in an era of conservation; there are uses for power other than volume. I don't need anywhere the max volume of this babie (or 90% of it's gain potential) but I will take all of the clean headroom I can get. And as many flavors of clean as I can find. I can see the SS_Twin/100 as a remarkable jazz amp. Big and heavy, yes, but I definitely want to try it. May even turn it up to 3.
