My Mr. Fix It buddy came by this morning and helped me set up the entertainment center. The unit is basically a collection of adjustable shelves that my brother in law made for his living room,it isn't pretty but it's very functional. All I have left to do with it now is get the stereo put on it and all the CDs,records etc. set up on it.I took pix and I'm taking pix every step of the way but I have to wait for Blinkers and his computer expertise to post them.Anyway I have my Marshall stack and my Vox AD120 VTH already in my new music room and when I get my bookcases and other stuff out of the way the gear can all be moved in,so there's stlll lots to do.

And when you hit that first "booming" chord...all the cd's will fall off the shelf!

I just came up from the music room and got about 200 CDs and 200 albums put up in alphabetical order, quite a bloody chore. So tomorrow I have to pick up some board to make more shelves as I ran out of shelf space with lots more to go up.Took more pix too.

I will email Blinkers this afternoon and see if he can come down tonight and help me post the long overdue pix.

Cross Canadian Ragweed recorded their first album in a friend's laundry room. Though that wasn't so much an acoustic choice as their only option for recording... Apparently you can hear someone drop a dish in the sink during one of the songs.

In somewhat the same vein on the Beatles White Album in the song Long,Long,Long you can hear a bottle rattle off the Leslie cabinet for the organ and crash to the floor.
