She's just lovely and the grain is really striking. She appears to be one piece is that swamp ash?

Swamp ash it is....and I am very pleased with the resonance :?: The G & L is a bit brighter / twangier guitar than my Telecaster (P90's) - some new tonal variety. I am having fun!

How are those G & L`s ? A store owner was trying to push one on me and said if I played one I would never pick up another Fender. How do they compare ?
Very nice Tele, I like natural wood grain it does a lot for the guitar. Enjoy it

Too early to tell on the G & L. Initilly I like it very much. I played and tested it prior to purchase so I knew what I was getting into. It is always different when you get it home and into your own natural setting IMO. Just to clarify, I was a part time acoustic guitar "strummer" for 20 years and just started getting serious about playing the electric in the last 4 to 5 years - I am self taught and because of this my experience with guitars and amps is limited. My knowledge is growing however and with each purchase (and many mistakes) I make my abilites and knowledge grows. The assistance from this Forum has kept me on a nice even path. I am by no means a professional guitarist or electronics guru but I have found that over time I start to "see / hear the light" so to speak. I have a new amp coming soon and I am very excited about this also - I hope this is going to be a culmination of equipment necessisties for me (I am sure to get GAS in the future to be sure). It is not that I do not like my Blues Jr. but when playing higher end equipment I hear a great difference in sound, lack of white noise, and defined timbre. I hope the choice I made will give me what I am looking for. If not....then on to the next search. Thats the long answer to your question, the short answer is; I love the Telecaster it sounds awsome, has a deep buttery, bluesey sound and it is a keeper for me. The G & L is a much brighter guitar and has more twang. Something my Tele lacked. Initially I think the G & L will suit my needs just fine.....
