I'm having some real difficulty with that -- perhaps you'd like to shut it for me......?

A more productive use of your time might be to stop by your local "Ministry of Pity" office and request that they issue you an extra allotment of kleenex.

I know enough about the amp to say with certainty that "LTD" is an abbreviated acronym for lacquered tweed, not 'limited'.

Have a nice......whatever.

Acronyms are a PITA. I.E. LTD could mean limited, lacquered tweed, or lime tea drink. Of course this is just IMHO, YMMV. >_>

Arjay

im so glad you didnt go into telling him what you knew about that amp arjay.
i dont have the time to read a post that big right now.

however, with post like he made up above, insulting the whole damn forum like he did by calling us names, he doesnt deserve the type of answer you could give him arjay.
see its reasons like this that one needs to come in and get along and be a productive member of this forum. not only is it the right thing to do, but you never know who could gladly give you the info you may be seeking, that very few might have.

Straight from the mouth of Fender's Shane Nicholas as quoted in Tom Wheeler's book "The Soul Of Tone", page 384......

"LTD" stands for Lacquered Tweed, by the way, not Limited Edition."

I thought everyone knew that......... At least I did and apparently so did Arjay.

I hope they don't dump it, it's one of the few new amps that work right out of the box in most cases. Practice usually make perfect. I guess the HRD series is still being practiced on.

Hmmmm, you all must be the "I'm-too-damned-dumb-so-give-me-some-pantywaist-fruitcake-presettable-ampshop-in-a-box-so-I-can-shred-like-a-dork-on-my-imaginary-stage-amp" types.

I bet hat's what it is.

Remembering the name of a city is more important.....
Sure! Epecially, the one you live in.

naw....some of us are,"We-use-real-vintage-amps-not-modern-wannabe-look-at-what-I-have-so-I-look-cool-instead-of-owning-the-real-thing",types.

Nah...you're cool,I was just messing with Twinhit, and what he said.
I don't want people to think that I feel like I'm above somebody because I have vintage amps, but his remark was unnecessary.

hey bro it is what it is. its not about being above anybody.
im glad you have vintage amps. now i have somebody to come to when i need info or just want to talk vintage. dont worry about the OP. hes all but sealed any help he can get from the forum i figure unless he can come in and humble himself and tell folks hes sorry.
takes a real man to do that in my opinion. we will see what happens.

i have 1 real vintage amp. i have some old amps yes, but not vintage like you and i mean "vintage". im hunting them down slowly. i like the thrill of the hunt. im always looking. i pass on a lot of good stuff waiting for the right stuff. its a gamble man.
you gotta be ok with passing on things lol. it will haunt you when you get home after youve said no too lol.
speaking of good stuff, im about to put up a post in the lounge on something i got just now that, in my opinion, totally rocks for a good price too.

As a few have already noted here, the '59 Bassman LTD is back where it belongs -- as I suspected, a glitch in our product display engine prevented it from displaying for a few days there. All fixed and we can all sleep a bit easier now, eh? :-)

there for a minute i thought we finally knew the reason the myan calander ended.
they predicted the end of the 59 bassman LTD and knew there was nothing left for us to live for.
