Interesting stuff. I think I'll have to check out their CS website; there were some very nice guitars on the wall behind him.

I bloody love Peavey. Everything about that company smacks of caring, thoughtfulness and quality.

Mod the amp and make it wife friendly. I've tried that, it doesn't work. I'm gonna set about modding the wife to make her amp friendly. Put some extra arms on her and reinforce her back with iron rods. She'll hopefully stop moaning about moving my amps then, for fear of ending up like

On the serious side that nice chap made one very valid point. 1 Watt, you can't go any lower. When you do, you get all kinds of speaker response problems. So why bother trying. Great stuff.

my friend, if you can do that you will be wealthy beyond your wildest dreams.
not only will you be able to then afford to make arrangements for the niki signature SERIES Marshall amps, you can scoot on over this way for some jamming, fishing, good southern cooking, and some "mod way cool's guitars 101" classes. all of which you can use as a tax write off when your ready. :D

Lord niki wouldnt it be so cool if peavey got back into the games with some serious amps?
they can do it bro, we know this. they havent gotten comfortable in the back seat just yet. if this amp idea is the begining of things to come from them this could get good bro.

I don't know how Peavey does it by turning out such heavy duty reliable gear and yet keeps the price way down and all MIA.I sold my old Peavey Deuce when I bought my first Marshall and have regretted it ever since but I still have my 10 W Peavey Decade that plugs into a vehicle cigarette lighter.BTW in 1976 I bought the first Peavey Deuce that came into the province. The 1W amp seems like a good idea,my Vox AD120VTH has 2X1W stereo setting for low volume playing and you actually get snarling Marshall and Dual Rectifier like tones even at that low a setting.

i have a deuce down stairs that needs to go to my amp guy.
good amps. some folks say that they are a little "dark" sounding.
i want to try a vox. i want one thats affordable though lol. ive never owned a vox.
peavey use to make killer stuff. ive been less than impressed with what ive heard of theres made in the last 10 yrs though. i havent heard all their amps either though.
i hope they make a huge comeback. HUGE.

I think the main problem of modern amplification is that big companies are too focused on market fashions/requirements.
I really don't think Peavey have made a bad amp ever. Even the Vyper was a good amp in it's price bracket. But thats a modeller for those that want modelling amps. Same with their small blues combos. It's just more of the same for a market thats already flooded with that stuff. Every manufacturer is guilty of it. Marshall and Fender to a lesser degree. Aside from making entry level stuff, they just make amps to do loud and driven. Refusing to pander to the market on their high end stuff. Much the same way Fender doesn't move away from the Tweed/Brown/Blackface designs of their classic gear aside from a couple of modern appointments that don't alter the spirit of the amps.

All this leaves the market open for new kids to come up with new ideas. Sadly they don't get the exposure they deserve for their brave ideas.
I think a custom dept' for Peavey is a great idea. I really do. The amount of innovation Peavey has bought to musical instrument manufacture and amplification is staggering. Ok they tried to rip off my mates idea for class shifting power amps. But still, reliable, cheap amplification. CNC guitar manufacture way before anyone else considered it. PA's on a par with industry leaders. Quality home/kids amps. Hartly Peavey gave em all to us.

ive never seen another amp take the abuse ive put my peavey's through.
best bang for the buck has always been peavey. i doubt any other company has outfitted more begining bands or small time touring musicians than peavey over the last 30 plus yrs. im going out on a limb saying that, but im comfortable out here lol.

Peavey makes some great amps. My favorite is the classic 30. Great amp for the money. That being said Peavey and everybody but Fender have jumped into the "lunchbox" amp line. There are so many niches in the amp market today and few companies are willing to explore those niches like Peavey. Their Vyper modeling amps opened up a new market and Fender's new Mustang line was a counter to that.

I'm waiting on the new Nikininja boutique handwired amplifier made on his kitchen table in the wee hours of the night by cannabilizing wires from the stove and using leftover parts from his fuzz pedals. :D Has he already built that?

the 80's SS amps are some of the best SS ever made. rugged as they come, and will last a life time. killer distortion and with a reverb that should be an example to all amps everywhere.
