I live 150 miles from there. Mom and Dad wouldn't let me go as I was only 15 but I kept hearing about it from other people all the time it was going on. I wish I could have a "do over" on that one! It sure would have been cool to be part of that historical event.

I would've loved to have gone but I was only 15 and my parents certainly wouldn't have let me go.They even refused to let me see Jimi play at the O'Keefe Centre? when we were living in Toronto.I ddo however have original Woodstock ticket that wwas for the day Jimi played. My daughter's boyfriend who also plays guitar and knows what a Hendrix freak I am gave it to me.The tickets were found last year locked in a safe unsold and uncirculated and are sworn to be authentic by Wavy Gravy? and a couple of the original promoters.

My sad story is my friend went and invited me to go along but it was only a couple of days notice and I couldn't get off work so I didn't go. I went to a festival at Mossport Raceway in Canada later that year. Not Woodstock, but quite an experience.

LMFAO!

I remember us booing and hissing then throwing stuff at the screen when "The Green Berets" premiered at the post theater in Long Binh.

I almost burst into tears the first time I watched Woodstock in a theatre as Jimi had died shortly before and he looked so godlike and majestic on the big screen that I got pretty emotional over it,seeing my mentor who had recently died appear larger than life.

my personal opinion is that woodstock without The Doors and Iron Butterfly,Cream at that period and other bands that did not play was missing a big chunk of it..i also heard that the Greatful Dead were so waisted that they distroyed all the tapes of that performance...but who was not waisted in there ?

Is that why the Grateful Dead aren't on the dvd?
