i like the idea of a strat body and tele neck. it just looks cool even.
its way to high for a korea made guitar. i just dont think their QC is up for a $700 plus guitar right now. from anything ive seen come out of there they have a long way to go in the QC dept before they can ever expect to get anything close to that for a fender guitar.

Negative. The entire Fender Pawn Shop Series is made in Japan.

Does this mean you're going to buy one of each now? LOL. :-) No, I totally understand the confusion here and just wanted to clear it up as I'm seeing quite a bit of misinformation being posted on H-C and whatnot.

ok brad we seem to be bouncing between different posts lol.
its very important to get this story straight as threads like this could cost fender a few sells ya know. so getting the right info out about these and the pass production line is very important.

Thanks for the information.

However, I am sad to see changes to the model number convention (which I have used to great advantage in the past keeping Japanese, Korean, Mexican and American models sorted).

I went to GC today and they didn't have any. I can't wait to try a 51.

Try building a guitar and suddenly your perception of guitar prices will radically change. Once you realize what goes into them and how much the parts cost, suddenly new Fender (or any brand) prices seem like a steal.

Agreed. It is for this reason that I always feel guilty when I want another.
