Does anyone remember the Jim Dunlop Jimi Hendrix System pedals?

I personally own a JH-2S Classic Fuzz. It’s basically a Fuzz Face in an MXR enclosure (see below). It’s a great little pedal; although I don’t use it much, it’s worth keeping it on the Pedalboard for when I want to get a little psychedelic or 60s/70s vibe going. It stays articulate, even when playing chords (some fuzzes turn to a puddle of oatmeal if you try to do more than a single-string lick).

I also used to have a JH-1 Wah; it was very similar to the regular GC95 Crybaby, but a bit deeper and quackier in tone. I sold it because I already had a regular Crybaby and I needed the money.

They also had an Octave Fuzz (JH-3S) that was pretty cool and useful—good tone, small footprint (like the JH-2S or MXR enclosure) as well as a Fuzz Wah (JH-1FW), a Fuzz Face (painted black, JH-2), a different small-footprint fuzz called “Fuzz Unit” (it looked like a JH-2S painted black, but I seem to recall it having a darker tone than the red JH-2S) and a Wah Special (JH-1S—I don’t know what made it special).

Octave Fuzz:

Fuzz Wah—this is cool because you could toggle between fuzz-wah or wah-fuzz, changing which effect was first:

Wah Special (doesn’t look very special to me):

All of these pedals were on the market before Al and Janie Hendrix won control of Jimi’s estate (much to the chagrin of many of Jimi’s fans—remember the aborted Epiphone Jimi Hendrix Strat?) and they disappeared from the market at the moment the lawsuit was settled. Now Dunlop has several “official/licensed” Hendrix pedals (a wah, octave and Fuzz Face) that I guess Lady Jane has given her seal of approval to…

Anyway, does anybody else have any of these pedals, and what did you think about them?

I use the Vox Clyde McCoy wah which was the model that Jimi used ,so that gives me the authentic Jimi wah tone. For octaving I use a Danelectro French Toast octave fuzz that works pretty good when notes are played around the 12th and 14th fret area for some reason. For a fuzz that I can use chording I use a '68-'69 Big Muff Pi that works really well for songs like Foxy Lady and Purple Haze. For a flanger I use a '76 Electric Mistress and phaser a '73 Bad Stone.I have an old Leslie Model 16 for the authentic Leslie sound.Lately I've been relying more on my Vox AD120VTH for effects, as the Uni-Vibe, Leslie and delay effects are dead ringers for the real article. The modulating effects even slow down and speed up gradually just like the real thing too.I've been meaning to pick up some Jimi Hendrix pedals but they're getting a bit pricey however my dream set up would be to use some of the products that Jimi's actual electronics guru Roger Mayer is still building.
