If the worlds going to end, lets get on with it. Cos I'm utterly sick of this nonsense.

Perhaps in your area it is harder to spot. Down here, we get all sorts of obvious signs. Franz Joseph and Fox glaciers shrink every year, deadly algae bloom at beaches- that kills small animals, like dogs. During the summer we have no ozone layer above us, so going outside uncovered is a no no- burn time could be a matter of less than 10mins. We have also reported sightings of massive ice bergs floating off the east coast of the south island- and these arent small ones either- the biggest one sighted measured 500m across- twice the length of the Titanic. I could go on, but I think the effects of it are staring us in the face down here. Storms... rain, floods etc... they just get bigger and bigger.

At my prefered surf beach, the local surf lifesaver guard house had to be removed- which had been there for decades prior- because since 2000 the sand banks erroded 1.6 metres per year today, so that they had to relocate the tower & tear up the carpark & relocate it. It had been there for decades. :( This started happening in the late 80's.

One thing I heard a few people say when I was in London was the heat waves that happen there.. when I got there myself, good weather was there but geez- I did not expect that however

Without wanting to be argumentative. Aside from the ozone layer and ocean pollution, that we are completely to blame for. All those other things happen anyway. The climate and state of the planet goes in cycles. There is absolutely no denying that. Now non of us can remember the last climate shift the planet went through.

How scared do you think the wildlife was the planet shifted from this

I know England is Great, but you didn't all have to crowd us like that. :D

On a serious note, because Pangaea is only largely supposition. The point is we have no experience of the planets cycles and need to stop panicking and start thinking.
I'll always believe that global warming is nothing more than a rod for our backs. Because were capable of doing so much to stop using what we suppose is responsible for it. Yet opt to use it as a means to bleed the stone a little more. To extract more tax from us. Instead of just ending fossil fuel usage.
If it's all so serious, why hasn't oil usage just been outlawed? Why aren't wind turbines littering the land. I know their ugly but if their going to stop us killing ourselves theres no real choice is there?
Because the base point of the argument is flawed. And the boffins know it.

Good point, I guess the VAT, sales tax or GST are too much of a money maker for govts to get rid of.. all they will do is increase the tax on fuel, which they will do anyways regardless. Like the oil prices go up little by little over time, just a tad every now and then- untill ten years later, you sit back and remember when petrol was 98c p/ltr and now its $2.20p/ltr.

Our Govt are even taxing the daylights out of local manufacturers if they don't comply with our emmisions trading scheme.. even farmers get taxed for methane emmissions from cow farts  . Serious. But even so, by world standards we are a very clean country anyways.. as long as your wearing your gumboots.

Last time I checked in Copenhagen, Denmark the price was 10.48 Danish Kroner pr. liter.
Converted to US gallons in US dollars that is 7.57 USD pr. gallon.
But I totally agree with David that gasoline is way too cheap. In 15-30 years there will be nothing left :(
