Price of Gas in Baltimore Washington area is around 3.69 per Gal. for Regular and here last year it was going for 2.49. Media has been silent on the subject much different from other years.
It cost me 109 dollars to fill my new pickup truck and it was not empty, and the new Miata MX5 in the family runs on high test which is 4.00 dollars plus per gal.

Gasoline is too cheap. And cars use too much of it. That's the facts if you look at climate change and peak oil. This game is going to end very soon.

It costs me around 150 USD to fill my Skoda Octavia (I live in Europe).

Cheers

Take heart, Tim.

I got a buddy in Susanville (north of Reno). He said gas topped four and a half bucks a gallon last week.

I pay 7.75 in Switzerland (liters converted to gallons, CHF converted to USD).

Guys, you have no idea how much gas costs outside the US.

Cheers

7.77 US$/Gallon at low cost self servie for 95 oct. It costs me 8500 ISK (74 US$) to fill up my '96 Toyota Corolla. When I bought that car in 2005 it cost me 4000 to 4500 ISK (35-39 US$ on current currency)to fill it up.

At my local station the petrol/gas is £1.30, that's $2.08 per litre, of which there are 4.54 litres per gallon, which works out roughly at approx $9.00 per gallon - worst f-ing thing the UK ever did was get involved with the rest of Europe and go metric.

:x

Careful, UK gallon is not US gallon:

US: 1 gallon = 3.7854118 liters
UK: 1 gallon = 4.54609 liters

Metric isn't that bad after all as evidence shows :) and your price of gasoline seems to be in the 7.90 USD range.

$7.86 US per US Gallon.

Yes we should never have got involved with Europe or the rest of the world. Just kept invading and conquering like we did during the Empire.
I'm being deadly serious.

Now for the humour bit.
Seward, have a look at how the British Empire started to disintergrate along with the rise of equality for women. It's quite remarkable. Gave em the vote, they threw our assets away and started us caring about other countries. Why did we ever want to do that? That Emily Pankhurst has a lot to answer for.

2 years ago it was the high price of gas that sent eveything into a downward spiral. You would think they would have learned from that but greed takes over once again. America is a self sufficient country, so to depend on foreign oil when we have our own makes no sense at all. OPEC is holding us hostage. The price of regular gas here is near $3.90 a gallon. To Europeans thats cheap, but to us...its insane.

See thats the problem, you watch it unfold. The same disaster we're seeing all over the middle east. We'll invade, conquer, then relinquish control. Claiming we've done it for the good of the Libyan people. Effectively we'll strip all stability from the nation (ok I know the word stability shouldn't ever be used in conjunction with anything to do with that clown G'daffy G'duck) or what stability they've ever known. Secure their prime national product. Then get the hell out of dodge. Whilst all the time trying to make it look like we care.
I think it was better when we kept control, despite the public protests afterwards. Far better than enforcing our idea of freedom on them, then leave them to flounder. These countries developed their own political systems, they grew up with them. To suddenly strip that from them and try enforcing our ways on them is a little wrong to my mind. Like we saw in Iraq after saddams dethroning. All those different factions vying for power. Things seem to have settled down now, or so were told. But lots of the boys are still out there.
