Nirvana, easy.

Not that you can really make a comparison...

I don't mean to be rude but every day there is a new " what band/ guitarist/ guitar is the best" thread. The pointless threads are starting to get old.

But to humor you, Nirvana in my opinion.

agreed on the first part.... the second part, well they are two totally different bands with varying musical styles.... if i want some good, simple rock, i'll listen to ACDC, but if i want a more grunge experience i'll listen to nirvana

for musical talent and song-writing, I'm going to have to go with AC/DC

for changing the face of rock and killing the 80s hair metal as we know it, I'm going to have to go with Nirvana

Face it, Nirvana wasn't a talented group, nor did they stick out in the grunge scene, they were just the first of a wave of grunge artists to kill what had gone on way too long, and what had gone way too far.

AC/DC by a long way.
Nirvana, although a very good band did nothing to change music apart from bringing an existing genre to the masses.
AC/DC's long career of high quality rock n roll is equalled by very few

Rock & Roll stripped of humour really doesn't work for me.Keep your grunge and give me AC/DC.

Well let's see...

AC/DC wrote schlocky, cheesy, pander to the lowest form of music, what's an arrangement?, riff rock.

Nirvana couldn't stay in key, or likely didn't know what one was...as much as it pains me, I'm gonna have to go with AC/DC on this one.

That's like asking: "Who's better, Black Sabbath or NOFX?". Since AC/DC and Nirvana are two completely different bands why try to worry about who is "better"?
:?

No contest whatsoever, AC/DC all the way.

I think it was insulting to put nirvana up against AC/DC, that was just wrong.

The Doors rule but I like Black Sabbath....and The Stones. Got tired of the Beatles long ago.
