So finally the rain has stopped in the bay area...I decided I had no choice but to take advantage of the 70 degree weather. So here's some inspiration for those of you stuck under a blanket of clouds and cold weather...

And Guv'nor Moonbeam just took the state off of an extended drought alert.

Looks gorgeous, Tim!

We've gotten some good rain over the last few months. That's a first in like 8 years or so. It's about time. And today was a perfect day to launch the boat. The first picture was from a little east of here in Middle Slough, and the other two are about 200 yards from the Pittsburg marina. I can't understand people that live here and never go to the water. It's really the ONLY good thing Pittsburg's got...well...that and the Mexican restaurants. lol

We typically troll on the way out and then anchor up and just kick back and relax. Those are about average sized keepers out here. I've seen bigger, but that's about the best I've caught out here.
The Delta is awesome. Plenty of choices for open water or sloughs. I usually stick to the sloughs, more activity, though the bigger fish seem to prefer the deep water.

our striper average 20plus lbs. we have the one of the best landlocked striper trophy lakes in the US about 10 minutes up the road from me. 758 miles of shoreline.
we go at them on kayaks. now thats a blast right there. a good 25 or 30lb striper will pull you all over the place. i use them for my winter and early spring practice before i go hit the inshore for bull reds, trout, and sharks.

Bass fishing....I love it..we get some huge bass here, my largest was 42 inches. But Largemouth Bass fishing is my favorite. I can`t wait to wet a line. But more snow and rain for this Friday so it won`t be for awhile yet. Enjoy the nice weather.

YES... and I`m not afraid to admit it. If you think I`m standing out there in these temps shakin like a wet cat in a Chinese take out your nuts. I`d be better off watching them fish on the Outdoor Channel.
