What I don't like: Those crazy jazz chords where you need 6-inch fingers and two C-clamps to make it happen.

I always like the E minor chord. Any story sounds better with it.

To me chords are like colors: I like or dislike them depending on what they are placed next to.

Cheers - C

Can I take that to mean that you also hate it when a song ends on a chord that needs to be resolved?

One of these days, I'm going to resolve the song when everyone least expects it!!!!

I love the Bm on the second fret of the A string.

I've also been messing around with open strings in my chords - so I don't know the name of them. But I know a song where the progression is E-B-A, and I've been playing my chords like (high to low string:)
E: 0 0 1 2 0 0
B: 0 0 8 9 0 0
A: 0 0 6 7 0 0

I only fret the octave of the root and I think it's called the major 3rd?
But these chords all sound really cool. I also like doing A, (maybe G, I can't remember) B, C, and D major bar chords but leaving the two top strings open.

The first one, the one you're calling E is actually Amaj7sus2/E
The B one is Emaj7sus4
The A one is A9/E

Of course those are only the simplest names. Almost all chords can have a variety of names depending on how you percieve them.

Actually now that I look at it again the first one might also be an Esus4. It's just unusual for me to see a suspended 4th down low like that.
