Good early morning to all, well I when ahead and done it even after my friend said it was wrong to change the pick up covers and control knobs on my SRV to fender blacks, I think it looks really good and deepens the whole look of it nicely, is that wrong?

Nothing wrong with that, I switched out the original pickguard for a mint green one. It's your guitar, do whatever you want to it.

offend leo? lol. bro, you chose a Fender didnt you? your using Fender parts arent you?
i dont think leo would roll over in his grave (God rest) if you changed a thing.
if he were here he would probably smile and tell you its a Fender strat no matter what color you changed anything to. (now stop worring about this and go play that thing)
change whatever to whatever you want. its your Fender Strat. tell your buddy to go buy his own.

It is NOT wrong if it is YOUR guitar and the modifications YOU made will have YOU enjoying it all the more. If anyone has a problem with it, tell THEM to buy it and then THEY can do whatever they want or don't want to it. As long as YOU own it, don't listen to what anyone ELSE says and DON'T give it a second thought!

Its your guitar do what you want. Who cares it's sure not a real SRV that may have historic value. Corporate money making knockoff. Give me a guitar I like who cares if there is a name attached as long as well made . Never buy the name or willing to pay extra for it.
