Fellow forum member and buddy of mine Blinkers just loaned me a book that he picked up on the net.It's called The Beauty Of The 'Bursts and is a pictorial of '58-'60 Gibson Les Paul 'Bursts.Even if you're a devout Fenderphile your eyes would bug out if you saw some of the guitars in this book.They're arranged in chronological order and some of the most famous guitars in rock are there including Billy Gibbons' Pearly Gates,Peter Green's beauty and some of Slash's treasures and hundreds of others.It contains several pix of each from different angles so that they capture the true beauty of the grains and bookmatching.Although the book was originally published in Japanese an English version was published by Hal Leonard so it may still be in print.Anyway it makes a good coffee table book for any guitar nut.
