My wife and I both want to see Joe live...after watching the Royal Albert Hall DVD.............

This is how I introduced my friend to him. He's attended the last JB concert in Manhattan. I was on a weekday night that didn't work for me. Was at Town Hall, a small capacity landmark venue in midtown. I know its hard for artists to stick with low capacity venues but I really think it give him a one on one with his audience that's a plus. I'd bee disappointed to see him go to large arenas. I can't deal with those. As for 'Black Country', that endeavor is something which he seems to be quite satisfied with his position in and offers another dimension to his playing. If he's happy with his gig in that band I suppose his fan base ought to be and man, look at the exotic places he's recording in. Santorini, yet.

the best guitar player youve never heard of

Think Fender missed the boat on this one? I do.

I respect the fact that he's not bad on the guitar and can sing but personally think this guy is way over rated. Nothing personal but just dont see it and I think his tone is crap - Mostly high gain sounds with 3 kilomtres of reverb. Not tring to stir up a hornets nest but personally thinnk Ian Moss from Cold Chisel has a better voice and plays tastier $@!& than this dude.

Different strokes of course. At the end of the day though, he's a vendor selling product and so far he's doing rather well, and that's what it's all about, isn't it.

Knowing that you are a journeyman musician, I understand full well why you do. Been there, done that.

Just loaded into the car this morning. Made it to track 3 by the time I arrived at the railroad. More later. Understand the second Black Country Communion is due in June, and he's not only going to tour with them, but with Bonham as well. Wonder when he sleeps?? Interesting note....the guy I commute with, who also attended the concert with me, was wondering why the strong interest in JB on the Fender Forums. I told him that his fan base transcends politics.
