Is it just me or does anyone get this.....I work all day and when i pick up the guitar at night most of the time i just fang out for a hour till the skirt cracks it....But some nights i start drinkin beer and red and go into guitar cycosis and i look up and its 2am and i think i have to work next thing i know its 3am then 330am by this time i am finger'ed and just keep goin till about 4-5am with no regard to how crap i'm gunna feel two hours later goin to work... but i love it!!! The 3am ploughed progressions/solo's i reckon is my best playin ever and i love it.....But it hurts the next day so bad...... But i cat stop it....i happens at least once every 10 working days??? is it just me???

You definitely are not alone .I used to drink and do the same thing.As I got a older though it hurt too bad to go all day without sleep the night before.Not to mention, I most likely smelled of alcohol and I am quite sure others around me didn't enjoy it.It was fun at the time though

Yeah i know...I don't drink spirits for that reason and i take deodorant to work and eat cough lollies and shower at work if nessasary so it does not effect anyone around me.....I am obsesivley carful about BO......That's not my problem....It's the not sleeping more than 2 hours at my age (38) some days i feel like i'm gunna have a heart attack.....

Ohhhhhh yeah, that happens. My fingers are wrecked, my wrists ache, I'm sleepy and feel like crap the next day, but man it's worth it. There's sometimes just an uncontrollable urge to play, and nothing else can fill that void.

Hay man, come on over to my house, I' am retired and I got headphones, play all night, play all day, just come on over, the house is a rockin don't bother knockin!!!.

Back in the days when I drank like I had hollow legs and sponge feet I often used to stay up til all hours playing especially when doing a week long gig and the had to get up at 6:00 to get ready for work.My system couldn't take that kind of abuse these days.

going to work on very little sleep effects everybody around you. depending on what you do it could be a safety issue as well, just waiting to happen.
if there are people at your job that depend on you to be your best, then they are effected. no way somebody can be at their best with 2 hrs of sleep.
even the folks that are driving next to you on the way to work are being effected by
being put at risk of an accident. look at the situation a little closer.
just a thought.
