i went to a cool music store today but practically everything was a knockoff lol (there was even a brian may knockoff) it got me wondering...

-what was the coolest knockoff you have ever seen?

-what was the most accurate you've ever seen?

-what was the worst you've ever seen?

The best I've seen is my one!!

I'm pretty sure its actually a knock off of a knock off. Its a Les Paul style guitar, black with cream bindings, ebony fretboard and dot position markers. However it says its a Blueridge on the headstock, with no serial or model number anywhere. Funny thing is, Blueridge just make acoustic guitars, and as far as I know have never made an electric, let alone a Les Paul style.

I don't care. It cost seventy quid and sounds/plays great for the price paid. It was my first electric guitar six years ago, we've both grown accustomed to one another and its definitely a keeper.

Ampeg Big Stud bass. I own one, and they look cool and sound great. It's like a '51 P-Bass with an extra (bridge) pickup. The headstock is as large as the body of a Steinberger.

They're just cool.

I like some of the early Ibanez "lawsuit" Gibson-style axes, too.

I really like the look of the DILLION BIG G 3, like an SG with a jazzmaster tremolo. I used to have one similar in black with mini humbuckers on it. But someone got mad at me and pawned it.

i get you man my first was an academy stratocaster in black with a rosewood fingerboard i call her maya... she feels and plays just like my fender and cost me 150 euros with my amp... nothing beats the first guitar :)

I had a Aria LP back in 1975 that was as good as any LP I have ever played.

I just got a Tokai Rockinbetter G4003 Bass which is the best copy of a Rickenbacker 4003 Bass I've ever seen. A truly amazing bass. :)

Back in the early 70s I had a PAN copy of a Venture's Moserite and it was a dead ringer that sounded great but I traded it for a Hagstrom II.Dillion makes some incredible knock offs as do Burney,Evans and of course Orville which for all intents and purposes is a Gibson.
