Okay, so on the fall back/country music thread, there appears to be no dispute that Billy Ray Cyrus was the nadir of country music.

I'd further suggest that Molly Hatchet was the nadir of Southern Rock...

Any other nadirs with regards to genre or bands that come to mind?

Clapton's unplugged version of Layla is the nadir of accoustic versions of songs that should not be messed with.

The re-recording of the bass and drum tracks for Blizzard of Ozz back in 2002 represents the nadir of royalty disputes.
