just read about her. an inspiration for love songs, many love songs and I believe the memories of her will continue to inspire many more. R.I.P. Elizabeth Taylor.

any names of these tunes come to mind?

not what I can be certain of. what I am fairly certain of is no way or cool or jr would be anywhere near the names of those inspiring tunes you may have in mind. if you were worried you would be inspiring GAS only, which puts you in the write spot. GAS is or goes as it were, with the territory, Fender Forum has all of the gear at your fingertips, and there are a lot of gear heads here.

can anybody understand this?

It's too bad that Hollywood is changing. Many of the veterans
of film are passing on and although I've seen some good movies,
it's been a long time since I've seen some great movies like they
used to make.

I've been getting through plenty of popcorn on this thread; which is just the way Liz would have wanted it, I suspect.

I presume I perfectly understand the glittering poetic thoughts in SBLS's head - but it's not for me to speak for him...

Anyhow. If ever a thread needed pictures...:

Shazam! Our respects, Ms Taylor, ma'am.

Cheers - C

hey i like the older stuff. one of my fav movies of all time is ben hur. i dare you to try and find a better movie.
the 60's and 70's stuff was good too. thats when they really had to act to get and keep your interests. they didnt have all this special effects like they do today to keep you on the edge of your seat. i even like several of the blk and white flicks too. mommy dearest come to mind. i love that movie too. i like the silent films. boris did a great job at getting you to jump out of your seat didnt he? dont get me wrong here, i like the new stuff too but a "classic" these days will be few and far between.

Rebelsoul, true to your name, first into the fray, a good-hearted response, thankyou!

Nutter, your humor is always welcome and greatly appreciated.

Screamin' Armadillo,"the eyes of Texas are upon you" and Lee is probably smiling broadly as well.Don't give what I wrote another thought. Those words weren't meant for you in anyway. You understand just fine. Our fellow member is a little underdeveloped but things in general do tend to get better here, hopefully that lucky streak will remain and our Bro won't trip on his own shoelaces.

Ceri, wise old sage, your words are music, whether writing about guitar necks or pickup configurations or just talking there is always the cheers from Stratfords crowd off in the distance accompanying your words. For 2 years that I was stationed near there I promised myself to visit but never did, and each summer here I am asked by the costumed rabble to join in festivals dedicated to the awesome talent of the bard, but, I can't think of a work of his that a Chicago gangster could do properly. Elizabeth did quite well as Kat even with all of the omissions and rewrites. Thanks for the picture, a great one it is. Should I ever have the honor, when we meet I have a big Chicago bear hug for you

as for you Mr jr, you asked about song names and I rarely name verses unless they are completed for a specific song, but there is a short verse to start the "Your Poetry" thread, perhaps that was inspired in part by the cat on a hot tin roof just imported to heaven or maybe it was her twin sister from Detroit that cared for me a long time ago. either way it doesn't really matter. it's your decision and shall be As You Like It.
