Well its been a month since i had the surgery on my right arm/hand, and i thought i'd keep you guys updated on how its going.
so i got the medication injected into my wrist, and fingers this time around. i cant really feel a differnce in the wrist, although i'm sure there is. The fingers however, even though i told the doctors to inject half the amount they did last time, they are different, i dunno wheather its for or for bad, but i'm sure its good. instead of contracting inwards like they did before, they do the complete opposite, they go out. at first i thought i'd try to hold a pick between my thumb, pointer and middle finger, but thats not working. so i'm using the technique that i did last time, and that is wrap sticky tape around my pointer finger, and hold the pick between my thumb, and pointer finger.
overall, it did help with my daily life and well being
i am working flat out on the stretches and exersices i have to do to improve the movement, particually my finger's and wrist. lets just hope that i get to keep the movement i very slowly gain.

Slowly but surely Riley...Sounds like things are going in the right direction, though I know how frustrating it can be waiting to fully recover. The best thing at your age is to work it back slowly and correctly so it is less of an issue in the future. Glad to hear that things are progressing.

Riley, glad to see that you're working on your therapy and noticing improvement. You are in my thoughts and prayers Bro. Feel better.

All the best my friend!
Post surgery rehab always sucks and can be so frustrating and slow but...you have to stay focused and keep at it. It will pay off!

Keep us posted.

I hope you have a speedy recovery, but are they giving you cortezone shots in your hand / wrist ? If they are its not the best thing to do. Cortezone is cancerous and your not suppose to take more than 2 shots of that a year. They wanted to give that to me for my back injury but I did some research on it first. When I found out how bad it is I asked the doctor if that was true and he said yes it can be. After he told me that, I told him to stick that needle in his own back and I walked out. Just try to exercise your hand as much as you can and try to stay away from the cortezone, even though it takes the pain away. Its just masking pain and not fixing the problem. It makes you think you can do your normal routine, when in fact your doing more damage to yourself by the injury not healing on its own. I don`t mean to sound negative about the treatment but I think you should know what that drug is about. And if my guess is wrong about the treatment your getting then I`m sorry for the rant about the drug. I just hate to see people take something that they don`t know what the consequences could be.

Take it a day at a time, a step at a time and above all, don't try and rush it.

Positive thoughts and Mojo coming your way, Riley!

Anyone have a keyboard they can let you borrow while still recovering?
It's a great way to 'hear' how chords relate to guitar.

Take it slow. Can you play finger style. Its a great thing to learn if you can, you'll be a better player if you do.
