Normally I don't buy guitars at GC. I do like to go in to my local GC's and look around.

Thursday evening I'm wandering around in GC and there she sits, a 2001 LEFT HANDED Martin DM-12 (Mahogany) 12 String with a Fishman Prefix Stereo Blender System installed. I pick it up, play it a little, put it down and walk away. A few minutes later I'm back picking her up. Tag says she can't leave the store until 4/9/2011. I put her down again and leave. Friday morning I'm on the phone to GC putting a deposit on her.

Then!!!

For the past couple of weeks I have been looking for an A/E with a cutaway. But, It had to be something different. 10 days ago a 1999 LEFT HANDED Martin SP000c-16 shows up on eBay. I watch it all week and do some research. That model was only made for 1 year and in a limited quantity. And I'm told that it is a really nice guitar model. SO, I continue to watch it, No one bids on it all week. The auction ends on 3/19 (today), a couple of bids show up this morning. With about 4 hours left to go I bid my max. I am high bidder with money left over on my max. With 2 minutes to go the price slowly rises, time is running out, I'm still high bidder. Prices goes up again, just seconds left to go, I'm still high bidder!! Auction OVER, I WIN!!


SO, in a matter of less than 48 hours I pick up 2 really nice used Martin A/E guitars!!!

Congratulations!!! I love new guitar days! Everyone curses Guitar Center.......I kinda see their side of things, but really, I have bought some mighty fine guitars at Guitar Center. Never take your guitar to these clowns for service, of ANY kind. Never ask these clowns for advise, ever! Other than that, always play the exact guitar you plan on buying from them and your relationship with GC will be a sweet one!

Lack of room is an issue.

At one time I had 62 guitars. It was too many.
