The former bassist of the UK instrumental group "The Shadows" peacefully passed away after a long illness.

That's sad, I didn't know that. An icon from the very early 60s in the UK, he is among my very first memories of music, along with the Shadows.

Sad news. One of the first guitar bands to grab my attention, the Shadows really shaped my formative years as a player. Jet's bass was as distinctive as Hank's lead!

RIP Jet.

It was only in the last few years that I learned how influential the Shadows were.
I just wasn't aware of them here.

Hey, Boy Blue is back!

The Shadows were pretty well England's equivalent to The Ventures and like North American kids of the early 60s emulated The Ventures kids in England and the rest of Europe were busy getting down Shadow's songs and riffs.Have a great time rockin' up in Heaven Jet.God Bless.BTW their association with Cliff Richards helped them get noticed in North America.
