Wow. Even if you have the money to do that, I feel that's just a little overboard.

Even though I'm a fanatical car lover-I have a library of hundreds of car mags and books-I didn't get too upset watching the Lambo get wrecked. There is something about today's cars that just doesn't turn my crank however if it had been a '62 Ferrari 250 GTO I would've wept myself into convulsions and gone into mourning for 2 weeks.I got much more distressed over the post that someone put up of a neandertal towing a Strat behind his pickup.

What did the owner expect? Italian cars don't work, they never have. If you want a car that starts and stops properly, you gotta buy German or Japanese.

Can't blame him for smashing the Lamba though. For $280K I'd expect a car to start. Personaly I'd have burnt it out and posted the ashes through lamba's letterbox. Or drove it into Lamboghini's CEO's car at the plant car park. Then got out and said the brakes need some work doing to em.

AHHHEHHMMM...German cars :?: ...I had a BMW 318I that had massive electrical problems and three transmissions! I brought it back from Germany and unloaded that POS :!:

If you want REAL performance, buy a 1997 or newer Corvette! My 97 Vette has tons of power and NOTHING has ever broke on it...and it starts every time I turn the key

I kind of agree with the electrical problems. I find that German cars ( or specifically vw's) are prone to electrical issues, but run great
All my honda's were great though

Sure I would expect a luxury car to start, but smashing a lambo is a complete disregard of $$

Just curious, what is the mileage of your vette? Just wondering since most of the time people use them during the summer months and don't rack up a lot of clicks, which is partly the reason why things don't seem to go wrong with them

Sorry mate, American cars are a standing joke in the UK. Thats why you don't really get any sales here aside from Ford who have to redesign everything for Europe anyway. We just don't go in for oversized, underpowered, bad handling lumps. Small, fast, and you can corner in them, then they sell.

Thats the first time I've heard of a new beemer with problems. What say you of a real company like Mercedez or Audi/Volkswagen?

China... :?: :?: :?: Let's see Volvo is now owned by a chinese heavy equipment manufacturer.
As far as Lamborghini's and Ferrari's, they are temperamental and they are not Honda's, so all I can say is that Lambo ( secondhand- Caveat Emptor ) was probably not serviced regularly from day one.

Oh Yeah, the   part, the dealer damaged the car Towing.. :?: :?: :?: to the dearlership.
No reputable garage or dealership would tow a Lambo. You hoist them on a flat bed.

My guess is that that dealership should be selling Hyundai's, certainly not Lambo's.

Corvette Huh :?: :?: I'll put an Audi RS4 against a Corvette any day of the week, or even better when it rains, or snow's, but to be fair just a sunny dry curvy road....Bye...Bye Chevy..

I'd take a small AWD car with a peppy engine any day over a big mega powered sled. I have owned 2 Subarus that weren't considered sporty(an '80 hatchback and an '81 Brat) yet they both stuck to the road like boogers to a wool sweater and went like a scalded cat.The idea that huge doses of horsepower is best has been proven wrong time and time again yet North American cars still continue to be mostly overweight ponderous land yachts while smaller cars from other countries run circles around them.

That's just too painful to watch! I don't care how bad the car performed, they could've given me the car, I would've been extremely happy if it was just parked in my garage and never moved! What a shame!

Right, cause the UK is known for making great cars these days...

I have experience with German, Japanese and American cars... sure I still prefer German, but my Bimmer, my ex GF's E46 Bimmer, and a few friend's Bimmers all experienced problems, specially electrical. Don't get me started on VWs, I owned 3 different GTIs, so I know a thing or two about 'em.

I wouldn't call my Vette an "oversized, underpowered, bad handling lump", it seems to do a great job around the track against 911s and M3s... and it's all stock! after 3.5 years I haven't had to do a thing except oil changes and new tires.

Bring it! What Vette are we talking about here? I'm sure my stock C6 will spank your Audi around a real track

Do you have any ideas how many races the Corvette team won at Le Mans and ALMS?? Do you have any idea how many championships Corvette won at the SCCA Nationals?? I'm sorry to tell you but your Audi is way too big and heavy to compete against a C6 Vette at any Autox or track event, you can check SCCA results if you don't believe me. Trust me, I ran my Bimmer against 'em and was never able to keep up in the same class, til the SCCA realized that my car and many others didn't belong in the same class and we were bumped down. It took a few years for someone to even beat the C5 at Nationals, I believe that was a GT3 driven by a friend of mine...

Who cares about race tracks that few of us see. Real roads are where it matters.

Gimme German cars over everything except Rolls/Bently every day of the week. For both reliability and performance. When it comes to performance only I doubt anyone will rival Italy (much as I hate Italian cars) or Japan. Let's see America produce a 1.3 litre two door saloon capable of 200 mph and 0-105 in 3.5 seconds. Forget that rolling quater mile nonsense. Lets have some accurate measurements eh.

All in good fun. One thing where America does own the world (excluding England) is in car appearance. The design is nearly as good as ours. Just not quite.

Sorry guys but you're never going to make a
E type

a XJS/12/6,
Image

a DB5

or a Silver Cloud.
Image

It's that simple. But then again, neither is anyone else. So I we'll nearly let you off eh? :D

LMAO! How many millions of cars (including Camrys) did Toyota recall the last couple years?

I owned a Toyota some 20 years ago... it was a very reliable car. So was my Honda. Nothing is guaranteed to last these days.
