Hello folks!
Just been driving along through the countryside the other day, and saw this green lorry maneuvreing around an industrial estate. Unfortunately there was a big fat canal between me and the lorry, otherwise I would have gone up and asked for an autograph. It seems lorry-driving is what Nigel from Spin̈al Tap does nowadays. Sad how the truly great superstars fall so hard. Perhaps that's what they mean by saying someone is "down to earth".

Anyway, here's his lorry. To not be easily discovered by Paperazzi, he has cleverly added another "L" to his name. Tricked out! I strongly admire him for that.

Are there any other superstars you met and could tell us about? Some photographical evidence, perhaps?

Cheers

Nutter

It's always interesting to see what people who once were househod names do after their fame flame flickers out.Donna Douglas aka Elly Mae Clampett on the Beverly Hillbillies for instance went into real estate. There are no doubt dozens or maybe hundreds more who are now doing mundane jobs compared to what they did when they stood in the lime light.

I've met J.I.Allison and Joe B. Mauldin who were Buddy Holly's drummer and bass player,Mauldin was selling real estate at the time and Allison owned some rental property here in the county where I work, but they also have gigged as the Crickets in the past with people like Waylon Jennings.
Donna Douglas has appeared as Ellie Mae here in Nashville at the Fan Fair in the past.
In the Nashville area, there are lots of people who were big stars, and now are not, especially in country music.
At one time Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island lived here....most guys liked her better than Ginger anyday.
