I'm going to say

Adrian Smith, I love his playing style....
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Malcolm Young, probably the best rhythm rock player...IMO.

EDIT...that being said, there are so many other players I've heard over the years that have some influence as well.

John Lennon
Paul McCartney
George Harrison

I remember in grade school drawing countless pictures of the 3 of them in concert with Paul's bass facing opposite of the other two.

No other group had that kind of effect on me.

To me Harrisson was back then what John Mayer is today. He said so much with so little. He knew his role and filled it perfectly, never sounding overboard or naive. And his rhythm playing is simply incredible.

Who else? How 'bout some more modern guitarists, like Omar Rodrieguiz Lopez, Synyster Gates or Gus G?

Pete Townsend is the reason I hit the strings far too hard.
Johnny Greenwood makes everything I play dissonant and horrid and lovely.
Dave Davies accounts for everything else.

Bass-wise, I steal things from Jared Followill, John Entwistle, and Nikolai Fraiture.

I'm not a big Who fan, but Pete Townshend was definetly instrumental in rock music.

Lots of Hendrix on here. That doesn't surprise me. Anyone here a fan of jazz guitar?

I love jazz guitar a lot, but I've never been able to play it well, so I wouldn't consider any jazz guitarists influences on me.
