Hi i have been trying to trade my epiphone les paul style standard forsomething new or different (as i just aquired a telecaster american deluxe :)). the current offer is a fender deluxe 900 amp and some yamaha acoustic. i do not think the acoustic is worth much so i was just wondering if anyone knows the value of the amp in question. It would really help me out and thanks for any help. oh and my current amp is a line 6 spider 4 15

Do you mean a Deluxe 90? If so about $200-250 tops.

dont discount that acoustic guitar just yet.
back in the 80s we use to go to a studio where we recorded a lot.
the owner of the studio had amps and guitars of all kinds for use if needed.
he had this martin guitar, all gold plated hardware, real beauty. well we always
fought over the yamaha he had setting there, nobody wanted to be stuck with
that POS highly overated martin guitar. that yamaha was just so easy to play. i have found countless yamaha guitars since that were very nice and just as easy to play.

I could be mistaken but I believe the Deluxe 900 and the 90 are different (bling) versions of the original Stage 90 amp which was a 90 watt S/S amp in the DynaTouch series of amps. The DynaTouch amps were not too bad for S/S and IIRC the 90 was one of the more favored models. The Stage 90 would have had none of the bells and whistles of the newer ones and would therefore likely be a better choice.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

The Deluxe 900 would be worth $350 tops,it's a S.S. 90W 1X12 combo that was made '04-'06.
As Way Cool stated Yamaha guitars can be great guitars. They have a beautiful balanced tone where neither the lows mids or highs are too pronounced just a smooth well rounded acoustic tone.Yamaha players will know what I'm talking about. They are among the best playing acoustic guitars.I have an '84 FG 346SB that I've owned since new and it just gets better and better sounding as the years go on and people love to play it.

OOOPPS Yep, the Deluxe 900 was the up model, if you will, of the deluxe 90 and is priced accordingly...$350 tops, but with the Yamaha acoustic, if a good one, would be a good trade for a Epi Les Paul.

get to reading bro.
the FG160 isnt a highline guitar, its a budget acoustic that people cant seem to really put down. if its in good shape, get it and take it to have it set up. get the action setup and low enough for your likes and play the hell out of it.
