In what....Gretsch Guitars? Her husband co-authored a biography of Eddie Cochran. That explains the guitar he plays. Also seen him with a White Falcon.

I wonder how many others here (no googling!) know who did the original
of "Walking in the Sand"?

Even before Aerosmith!

Talk about wallowing in nostalgia. First off, they were 'home town', coming from the same borough of NYC that I lived it, so we all did a bit of apple polishing at that. Their manager was a neighbor kid who went to the same JHS I did. (He has an interesting 'record' of his own, which I won't dwell upon here.)I remember watching those gals lip sync it on Alan Freed's TV dance program in NYC. Does that qualify me for two free tickets for Jeff Beck at The Beacon in NY on 3/28?? :?: :P I guess that makes me leader of the pack. Wouldn't mind retiring to the place they named themselves after, either.

Great start for that teenage group from Queens and as a side note, Billy Joel, then an unknown session player, played on their first demo. :!:

Based upon sources, that may, or may not, be true.

The author of this book claims it's true :

I loves me some Imelda........... Image

I have been watching Jeff and Imelda belt out some old classics on Youtube. Jeff reaffirms his mastery of the guitar (not that it was in question .... ) and Imelda has great presence, talent, and the looks to boot. I simply love the music that she is performing and especially the songs done by her, her band, and Jeff Beck.

I agree Mike, she is smokin' hot........ :D

That's one. I've read the opposite, elsewhere.
