Don't know what it is, but if you look really close there is a can opener, and a garage door opener, and a corkscrew on it too.

Looks kinda like a Hagstrom, kinda like a botch together.

If you look at the headstock picture something has been blacked out.

The Guitorgan was a complicated piece of work that was even more involved than the trouble prone Vox Guitar organ. Each fret was wired to six sensors that were each tuned to correspond to a musical note. There was a guy that emigrated from Australia to here in the late 60s that had one and he played with a 4 piece easy listening group so most of what I know about it I got second hand from a mutual friend. The Guitorgan-which is the proper trademark-sounded amazingly like a real Hammond as a lot of the internal workings of the companion module were taken from real organ hardware, whether or not it was Hammond I'm not sure but it sounded just like a B-3 when put through his Leslie. It also had a mix/blend control so you could have either guitar, organ or any combination of both. The instrument was plagued with problems due to the intricate and frail workings inside and certainly didn't stand up to the demands of gigging so the company folded after just 2 or 3 years of production.Anyway I'll contact my mutual friend and try to find out if the guy and/or his Guitorgan are still around.

It looks like someone has used MSPaint to cover up the logo on the headstock.

Actually it looks to me like the logo on the headstock is MI. I'm wondering if this might not have been a classroom project in the Guitar Craft program at Musician's Institute.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

It is definitely a Guitorgan if my memory has an shred left working.I saw and heard this rig being used.I was under age so I watched the band perform from a stairway that the lounge shared with restaurant and I'd almost bet one of the twins that it's the same rig.Anyway I'm going to Google Guitorgan to make sure I still have my marbles.
EDIT:I just Googled Guitorgan and low and behold I'm not losing it-it looks like the guitar in the ad,the guitar the local guy played and the Guitorgan are one and the same.
Try here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guitorgan there's also an article about the Guitorgan by guitar guru Zach Fjestad at the Premier Guitar website but the link I was given didn't work so you'll have to do your own footwork for that one.
