UPS is offering 40 % to cover repairs.
not likely to happen with a cracked cab.
anyone got a cab for a mesa nomad 55 2x12 ???

You can bet pay-pal will pay the guy noquestions asked and come after me for the money.

Good luck ! I'll dispute it till the end !!!!

I recently bought 6 high end watches on an Internet auction site and they were sent Fed -Ex to say that they were overpackaged would be a huge understatement. Each watch came in a huge box that could've easily held all six and were bubble wrapped profusely on top of that. After seeing the horror stories of UPS and BBT I think I'll specify Fed-Ex or nothing from now on.

I usually ask for Fed Ex, and after that USPS. I have had zero issues with the post office as far as damage. Usually way cheaper, and the best option if you aren't looking to over night it.

USPS to Canada Post has been easy as pie. I don't like how UPS just drops stuff out on your porch or steps either. I'd rather go pick it up, if I'm not home at time of delivery.

Hey I just thought of this.

say ya wanted to kill someone off, just ship them Big Brown Truck, they will be dead by the time they reach the destination for sure.

I know that was aweful, but a weird way of warning everyone to stay away from those goof balls with your nice stuff.

and shame on e-bay at the time it was the only shipping company they offered a discount to use, you might think they would go after UPS instead of their money making sellers.

BBT update

They sent me a check several weeks ago, i put it in savings, they sent me the rest of what they owed me yesterday, i paid back pay-pal (doing whats right)

Today they stop payment on the check throwing my bank account into a swirling vortex of evil !!!!

They never contacted me in any way to say they were stopping payment by the way.

UPS is the nastiest company you could possible do business with !!!!!

Now I am out even more $$$ and calling my Lawyer.

I always use Fedex for all my shipping of amps and guitars. They know what they are doing, and I've never had a problem with them, plus they deliver on Saturdays, always a plus in my book; who wants stuff sitting in a warehouse or truck over the weekend?

I have contacted the Secretary Of State for Indiana to get there Agent info so I can file a lawsuit in small claims court.

If we all get sick of their garbage and follow through all the way with these bozos, Just maybe they will get the picture.

You would think they would clean up their act.

They just hung up on me yesterday, from what I hear if you take them to court they are a no show and you get awarded the settlement.

The USPS has never ever broken a single item for me, just wish they were not so dang'd expensive ! on large items.

That had to be the customers fault that the driver was delivering to - right?!?! (or ANYBODIES fault except BBT!)

As for FedEx - I have only read one bad report about their deliverys - and that was from someone that worked for the BBT.

All kidding aside - since we switched to FedEx and USPS, we have had zero problems with shipping. That's good with me. 8)

Good luck with getting your claim paid with BBT.

I've heard a few horror stories about Fed-Ex as well. I've never used them so I have no first hand knowledge. UPS, however, is a different story. There are so many stories it makes one wonder how they can even still be in business. Why are people still using these morons? It boggles the mind. Cuz they're cheaper? People need to learn the old saying that the bitterness of poor quality lasts much longer than the sweetness of low price. I have learned that USPS is the way to go, even more so for international shipments.

Absolutely BMW, you hit it right on the head !!!

Same reason we will most likely be buying Fenders only made in China some day, we have become a society bent on the cheapest and not the best.

At the time it was a great deal through E-bay to ship with UPS like 30% cheaper and so...... you can guess what I did.

I will ask for my legal fees in court, we'll see

Yep. It's a common theme for me lately. See my comments in the Hi-Fi thread in the lounge.

Hopefully this thread will save some other musician from the pain of a UPS disaster.

If you want it to show up in one piece ya might want to shop around before you ship !

I would not be so upset if were not for their arrogance and how they do everything they can to keep you from getting to a decision maker, it takes forever just to get to a breathing, living person on their stupid phone system.

Customer Service is dead in America !!! and a little goes a long way in retaining customers, even after a problem.
