we also congrats others when they get good deals too.
so what deals have you had opportunity on, but didnt leap when you should have, and the deal got away?

$800 2008 LP Custom Silverburst on Clist. I don't necessarily feel I should have done it, but you gotta admit that's a steal price for a LP.

Runners-up include a new $500 Martin D-15 12 string and a $1300 new Martin SWOMG. I kick myself over missing the Martins more than the LP.

I could've gotten a reverse body Firebird VII and a factory custom covered Marshall 1959 SLP'69-'70 full stack with white "elephant hide"Tolex and blue grille cloth for $1,200 as a package deal at my buddy's music store.A year later he had a Gibson factory refurbished '61 Les Paul Custom (3pups &vibrola SG body)for $400 and I've been kicking myself since for passing up both.BTW that was back in the mid-late '70s.The LP had the closest action I've ever seen on a guitar.

I passed up an already vintage Rickenbacker back in 1972, didn't want to part with the $300...

Searching for a decent condition vintage amp is like a hunt. An ambush if you will. Some will get way most will not. You got must train for it, plan for it, save for it, have a plan B and Plan C, and be able to make adjustments. Failure is not an option. Only when the time is right will the SCORE be sccessfull.

I was offered a Fender Performer guitar for $400 and passed on it because of the metallic pink finish it had. Turns out that's a rare finish, on an already rare guitar and I could have quickly tripled my money. I didn't realize at that time what I was even looking at. Live and Learn I suppose.

I saw a beautiful Tele that the previous owner hooked up for country music in a color I`ve never seen before on an ash body. It was a clear coat in a light light gray for around $1000. At the time I didn`t have the money for it and by the time I did...it was sold. That Tele still haunts me.

although it wasn't a steal, I think about it all the time
I missed out on a 1980 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Goldtop for $2500
The reason why I wanted it so bad was because it was made on my birthdate! Just couldn't afford it at the time, probably still can't

if anyone ever sees a Gibson with a serial Number starting with 81780xxx, please let me know

my cousin has an epiphone sg double-neck. i can have it for 750 with the case. i don't need any more guitars but i want this one. it's in excellent shape and it sounds great too. good thing is it ain't going nowhere and he'll let me play it whenever i want to. but i don't. i'll take care of first things first and then decide what to do.
man, i've always liked the double-necks. i play alot of clean stuff and the 12 string just sings. plus the cool factor.

waycool, the guitar is too heavy for him these days. (bike crash). he really doesn't want to sell it but it's mine whenever i get the cash. he knows it will stay in the family. it's just another thing i want. i really don't need it.
someday it will be mine bro. priorities.
