Just getting tired of their CRAP. Earlier (Oct. 2010) they dropped MSG which carried my beloved Buffalo Sabres. I still pay for it but don't receive the channel(part of the package I have) and they dropped the channel Oct. 1st on the opening of the hockey season. Now last Friday I lost CBS programming (local channel) which I still have to pay for because I still want my other local channels. Now these C-Suckers are starting to charge more for their service, and I use the term as a JOKE
Worst thing is where I live my 2 choices are sattilite service only. (I can't even pick up with a antenna due to living in a valley) So when I call them to tell them how unhappy I am with their service, and want to cancel and go with another provider they tell me I will be charged a cancelation fee of over $300 because I have 1 yr left on a 2 yr agreement. What a bunch of B.S. my contract included these channels and they broke the contract, not me. I'm getting to the point that I'll take all their equipment and throw it out in the road for them to pick-up, and then tell them to try to get blood from a stone.

Sorry for the Saturday morning rant, but these companies pretty much got ya by the short hairs, they can due anything they want and we as consumers can't do crap about it.

i hate when this stuff happens. i have dish network and have been happy for the most part. our local cable service has lost stations too.

why not talk to your better business bureau? or even talk to your attorney general's office.
they would know better than most of us if they are breaking their contract.

i remember early this fall when there was an issue with fox sports. they gave us some other free channels. not what i wanted, but i guess it was better than nothing.

When cable came out I thought we were going to be watching TV without commercials, but we`re not. So their getting paid twice, by sponsors and us. Then you get to watch the same movie over and over until you almost know the words by heart. They make you buy channels in bundles which means you get channels you don`t even want and the ones you do want you have to pay extra for. So you wind up with a $300 a month cable bill just to watch TV when you can be paying off a new car or truck instead.

It used to be nice years ago I had a buddy of mine programed cards, He went 5 yrs with out paying the BIG companies.(just had to have the basics) Those days are long gone, but people can have there credit card numbers stolen as someone walks by them with a reader. Go figure.
