I ordered a Blizzard Pearl American Standard Strat in very early December. Today is March 11. Supposedly it was expected in early February. It's still not here. How long does it take? Sure Fender's busy supplying the world with guitars but 4 months? How much longer do I have to wait? How long have all of you had to wait for a guitar?

I know how you feel because I ordered a Standard Sienna Sunburst Strat on Nov. 7th from my local dealer last year and I am still waiting for it. Almost to the point that I don"t care anymore if it comes in or not.

I waited for seven weeks for my 1971 Tele Custom back in 1971. Ordered it from Keeney's Guitar Studio in CR - Keeney's dead for decades, the building's long gone to make room for a car wash and alas... the guitar's gone, too.

I don't know enough about the manufacturing business to comment intelligently, but that wait seems unreasonable. I have waited months for my guitars, saving the money to buy them. I know you must be getting quite impatient...hang in there and before you know it, you'll be rocking...

Has Fender customer service been any help?

I waited for my blacktop tele for about 13 weeks. A person does get sick of waiting but when you get the call to come and pick up your guitar it is a mighty fine day. It makes you feel like a pig in mud or a kid on Christmas day .

Feels Like The First Time

Some of these wait times are crazy, if I even think about another guitar any time over the next year, I should most likely order it now, right?

I ordered my Amer Deluxe Tele Aug. 3, 2010 and after threatening to come and get my money back last week the factory guy told my store for me to not get excited as they expected to get it out on or about the 15th of this month. But, I have been told every two months I'll have it in two months. So, I really don't buy the 15th of March. So it it does that will be just short of 8 months. Take it for what it is worth.

Did you order from Sweetwater? I've noticed that they never have anything in stock and take forever on backorders.

I did not order from a chain store outfit. A local independent.

The wait is unrelated to the vendor. It's been a factory production schedule issue all through 2010.
