Seeking info about the Fender Radio I purchased several years ago from a Music Store the owner was a Fender Dealer.

I'm guessing the Radio was a Dealer's Incentive sometime in the 60's or 70's??

I couldn't find any info on that radio by searching Google. I've never seen one before. Very interesting.

If I'm not mistaken, Leo Fender made radios, sold radio parts, Or had something to do with radios before he started making guitars. I'm not saying that this radio is from that era, but this Fender radio doesn't surprise me, although I've never seen one before either.

I removed the cover, on top of the Tranformer written in ink on the yellow label is
"SEGEN 2/11/61" I take it that means Feb. 11, 1961.

"Fender Sales, Inc" moved to the East Chestnut, Santa Ana address in the summer of 1958 and remained there until 1966 when all Fender facilities were consolidated into the new CBS-built plant a few miles away. Thus, your radio dates somewhere within that window.

Leo Fender repair radios but I never read that he building some. I have almost all book about Fender. But I could miss some information.

Or this logo is like car dealers put their bussiness name on our car today. But the strange thing, this Fender logo have a model number ????

Leo made this radio or ordered from a radio bulder company ?
