Has anyone used these on their Strat or Tele? I'm interested in switching to a wound G string, but also want pure nickel strings. It looks like these are just about the only strings that fit the bill.

I have not, but I am curious to see how they sound on a solid body. I have used nickle and it sound warmer less bright than steel wound.

Hey TTSC,

Are you going for some kind of record in posts made in the shortest time?

When I just logged in, I noticed you have the latest post in every single forum in the Fender lounge?

You're either a wealth of knowlege, or looking to boost your post count

I have found these D'Addario wound G Nickel strings to be great on my Gretsch Tennessean and that's the EXL 110 W light wound 3rd 10-46.They have the lighest wound G string available-.018-and are the easiest of the wound strings to bend.

I looked at the D'addarios, and the only reservation I have is that they aren't pure nickel.
