I personally thing autographs are cool if you actually get to meet the person and get the autograph yourself, buying one isn't my thing

Although it wasn't my #1, I got my classical guitar signed by Jesse Cook ( flamenco style player) when he did a small show in a coffee house around 1998. I was/am a huge fan and thought it would be cool to have the guitar he inspired me to buy and play signed by him. At the time, he was so honored saying "nobody has ever asked me to sign a guitar before"

When I was a kid, the band Slaughter got me into a club because I was such a huge fan and I was underage. The band was super nice and their roadie walked me in before anyone else. After the show I got their autographs, which at the time was amazing

BTW, if you haven't heard any of Jesse Cook's stuff, I highly recommend any of his albums, especially Vertigo.

Big time creepy.

The weirdest to me is getting an autograph on your body and then getting it tattooed on. :?

My #1 bass is autographed by Jack Casady (Jefferson Airplane/Jimi Hendrix/Woodstock/Hot Tuna),
Larry Graham (Sly and the Family Stone/Woodstock/Graham Central Station),
Will Lee (David Letterman/Fab Faux),
Popa Chubby and
AJ Pappas (Popa Chubby).

I got all these signatures in person. I use this bass almost every day.
I've painted clear laquer over the signatures.

That is one gorgeous p-bass, warner!

Given some thought I think I'll be holding off on having the guitar itself signed (it'd have to be EXTRA special to have something like that done - like by the remaining Beatles or Led Zeppelin or whoemever equally legendary).

Way cool, I'm not even a baseball fan but that is absolutely KILLER! :D

No, I wouldn't. I'm not into autographs. If I happen to meet someone, cool. Or unless they're signing a check for me, that's different.

Yeah! I'm a Huge Fan of my Boss. I can't wait to get his Autograph every week. I hang around work 40+ hours every week till he starts signing the Autograph on Friday! 8)

No, not really. Although I admire the skills of some bass players, I don't have just a number one who I want to sign my main axe. As someone said before, I'd get a pickguard signed, so it could be replaced with another when appropiate.

The Beach Boys?

How many of the originals members will be there to offer a signature?

If Brain is there, I would get HIS but I think most of the originals have either retired or have left us.

Nope! It's a legend, all in it's own.

And anyway, I don't think I could play an autographed guitar. If I got it signed, I couldn't play it! It just wouldn't make sense.
