I've been a firm believer that guitars should be stored in unlocked cases at my place. It's better for the guitar if it's stored with its amp as well.

The above applies to any and all high $$$ value guitars and amps.

If that's what's best for my guitars, what is your address? I need to send you everything I own immediately!!

Hi Screamin'

That's the guitars I own that have cases. There are also eight in that little room in gig bags, but all the rest are hanging on the walls in the Music Room. I rotate them back and forth every few months, so all of them get played and none of them feel bad.

I've always stored my guitar cases standing after I found that standing some on their sides or flat can cause a reaction or scuffing on the finish from the fabric in the case. When you stand the guitar on its end only the end pin is taking most of the guitar's weight and the back and sides have minimal contact with the case-at least they're not weight bearing.
