First official rehearsal tomorrow. I might try and get some recordings and see how it sounds.

heck get us some video footage. a couple short takes.
never know, they might be worth something one day.
beside we can see it all from the begining.

Not a bad idea...I'll have to borrow my mom's camera. Mine sucks for video. I'll see what I can do.

if anything, when you get older and your son is playing,
and he says "dad, what was it like when they started
making guitar strings out of steel", you can pull the
videos out and show him. (after you beat him lol)

 Thankfully no young'ns for me yet...soon though :?: I did forget to shoot that video today, but we're playing again tomorrow so I'll see what I can do. This drummer is a little better than he let on in the beginning, and things are shaping up nicely.
I gotta go pick up a better PA tomorrow, my little 60 watter I was using for my solo gigs just isn't cutting it with the drums.

PA for the vocals. The Jet City cranks, and could easily drown out the drums and the bass at full tilt. It could be painfully loud if I wanted to blowout my left ear too, but I'll pass on that. lol.

Thanks Arjay. Not too much up there right now. It's in transition from my personal music site to a band page. New tunes and some live recordings are in short order once we hammer out the details on these songs and tighten up a little.

Never heard of Luke Stricklin before. I like that song though. Saved it to my country playlist.

So...We had our second official practice as a band scheduled for yesterday afternoon, and Jeff (drummer) didn't show up. I called him twice, left a message both times and still have heard nothing back from him. So, I'm a bit perturbed at the moment. Looks like the search continues, unless of course he had a legit reason for flaking on us.

So...Drummer or no drummer, we are moving forward with this project and somebody will come along that will work out. That being said, we have been recording a demo track, to have to give other musicians an idea of our style, and also to have online for the time-being. Well the song is coming out very nicely, and of the songs I've written this one makes me proud; so much so that after I mixed it all down tonight, I sat and listened to it several more times. All that's left is for me to record a guitar solo for it tomorrow, and I imagine that it should be finished by sometime in the afternoon.

So, being a band of only 2  we both had to pull a little extra weight...but I think my brother got off easy...

He did...bass guitar and keyboards..

I did...guitar, lead vocals, harmony vocals, made the beat on Fruity Loops, all the recording and mixing.

But it was a good time, and it's nice to work with another creative mind after working solo for the last few years.

Hey guys and Girls, Check this out!
Sidewinder has finished our demo song, Rollin'. It took a little more work than I expected; it's been a while since I've been at the mixer. So yeah, check it out and let me know what you think.

Not too far off Rick...Except right now I'm working with my brother, and even if I dump him I'll still have to see him Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas; at the least...lol.
