Hey friends!
So on Tuesday I posted an ad looking for musicians to start a band with and I already have a bass player lined up, and a drummer I'm going to jam with this weekend to see if he'd be a good fit for the band. I really wasn't expecting to find anybody this quick, and it's gonna be pretty cool to get back out there and play shows with a band. I'm still looking for someone to play organ/keys so hopefully everything keeps falling into place quickly and we can get together and start making music, and maybe even a little money

Exactly the reason I was in such a hurry to get a new amp. I have a couple decent solid-state amps, but I wanted something with tubes before I started up a new project, now that I have it, it's game time.

Yeah it's hard for me too...I work 1st shift one week and then 3rd shift the next week, but I decided to start a band, and even bought a new amp for that fact, so I'm just gonna have to suck it up. Maybe I'll get lucky and find a job with a better schedule...but probably not, I can't walk away from the paycheck I'm getting now, and it's highly unlikely that I'll find another job that pays as well. But I play a lot as it is, so might as well have a band backing me up.

Hi to ya Tim, all I can say is go for it and enjoy yourself, it,s not an easy task puttin a band togeather, what with all the head trips and expectations that alot of people have thinking everythings going to happen over night, but you will do fine cuase you got it in you, all the best wishes and good sounds to ya.

Thanks Alex...Thankfully the bass player is a long time friend of mine and a very low-ego kind of dude. Haven't met the drummer yet but through his e-mails he seems like a cool guy. None of us are in any hurry to have a platinum album so I think that will make things a little easier.

Indeed. First thing will probably be a live video. I may be leaving California in a few months, and heading out to Arizona, so a demo or album may not even be recorded with this band. But I wanted to get started with a band now anyway in case I stay in the Bay Area, but I doubt that's gonna happen. I've been offered a 4-year-old 4 bedroom house in the Casa Grande area for 700 a month. That to me sounds like an offer I can't refuse.
