He really was a fine young man, and he could reallyplay - I asked him how he got so good - and this is what he had to say - he said it comes from heaven, and the angels up above - they taught me how to sing, songs of happiness and love - and to play along with my guitar, in music oh so sweet - that they all come to viset, and set around my feet - they come to visit every day, in fact there here right now - I asked him if he'd play for me and he said OK, if you can see your way clear to pay, so I can eat today - I'll play you a song about an old lady, a long time ago - that asked the same thing you did, a little while ago - I played her a song of happyness and love, and sure enough the angels all came down from above - thay helped me play so soft and low, it sounded oh so sweet - she put some pennies in the jar, that sat down by my feet - and as she walked away that day, and went on down the street, another walked beside her, and as they walked into the shade - I could barely see her, as she began to fade - it was a boy that stood beside her, and holding hands oh yes they were, she was standing oh so close to him, and I could here her say - he realy is a fine young man and I hope that he will play - another pretty song for us, if wee come back some day.
