Never seen a thread hi-jacked as completely as this one has been. You guys are skilled artists...lol.

Hey Niki...You should bury that lemon drop maybe it'll sprout a lemon tree and you'll have some fresh lemons for your tea...but then again they'd probably be too sour...lol.

For the guys who had a go the first time round...This posting comes from a guy ( don’t feel I can use name without permission ) and is self evident.... He knows a thing or two about guitars owning his own shop and web Forum as he does…

"Getting back to topic....

I used to sell the American Relic Strats...

Well actually I did for about 3 months.

It was one of the low points in my career I can teoll you - the ultimate sell out.

I used to look at them and just laugh at them. They didn't look CLOSE to an old guitar.

So you have a new guitar that you were paying the best part of £1.5k for which you are paying for it to look like a Vintage model and yet it doesn't look remotely vintage.

In fact talking of Vintage - some of the Vintage Relics (the brand Vintage - The Lemon Drop for example) have been far more realistic than the Fenders!!

Frankly my stomach churns when I see reliced guitars MAINLY because of what I have said - they dont look old!

IF I were to see one that genuinely looked old I am sure I would love it because hand on heart when I see a beaten up old guitar... oh I love them! End of quote....

Told you so.

Love and kisses...Strat789

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha....

Guys, I know I'm late to the party, I was busy working. Plus this: The ONE time I stay off the Forum for a while, this thread of epic epicness emerges, caused by the by now legendary OP, which is the fact that bugs me most: we should thank him! (But he really should change the thread title, don't you think? )

To all ye friends of footwear: be praised! Tis a bright morn that begins with depictions of such splendid domestic artefacts! I must admit, I was in a deep crisis of faith about this board, but without a doubt, this thread re-kindles my belief that this Forum is the best place online ever.

And Tim: Thread-Hi-Jacking is an Olympic disciplin where we live, which means one thing above all: WE HAVE PLENTY OF PRACTISE! Don't we, lads? ;-)

Now since this weekend has no plans yet I am most interested what will come about on this thread. I have high hopes, the cast involved are supreme, and the crew have put together great costumes and props, lawns included.
"For the whole world is but a stage, and each must p!ay a part" (W. Shakespeare/E. Presley)

Now, for those who fear thick woollen socks might be too warm, rest assured: The natural fabric of wool makes for thermicaly optimal body wear, letting surplus warmth escape and thus simply keeping a steady body temperature. (Now followeth a quote some of you will recognise) In fact, nice merino wool socks are referred to by some as "having a foot-hug".... now how's that for a marketing slogan? :D Sadly not my own creation...

Well chaps, as the late great T-Rex said: get it on!

Cheers,

Nutter
P.S.: And since we're good at post-scripts too, might I add that OZRV's idea of "road worn women" sounds highly questionable?

Road worn ladies.

I could make so many offensive, sexist comments that would be wholly inappropriate for this forum. I'd be banned in a heartbeat. Then 'The Wives of Fender' would likely be round to kick my head in. Yes the Big F has my home address.

I do have a whole selection of road worn tools that I'll happily snap and post later, should anyone desire to see them.
Now, I'm off to buy a overdrive pedal.

Oh and Ceri, if you see this before you look at your Facebook page. Thankyou so much for introducing me to beauty. The Butterfly is stunning.
I'll be making a frame for it tommorow.

Andy, I can't help it. I bought the guitar being a big Greenie fan, and it's been nothing but a dissapointment. To compare it to a £2500 relic is a nonsense that could only be dreamed up by the crack addled or a schoolkid.

BE WARNED!!!

The bizarre appearance of this egg-laying, venomous, duck-billed, beaver-tailed, otter-footed mammal baffled European naturalists when they first encountered it, with some considering it an elaborate fraud. It is one of the few venomous mammals; the male platypus has a spur on the hind foot that delivers a venom capable of causing severe pain to humans.......

Dont you guys dare think of making small battered bite size mouthfuls out of our little national treasures!!!!!

We're watching you all!!! And the Colonel!!!!
