It's been two years now that I've quit the instant-coffee drinking (Instant-coffee or Nes is the most popular coffee here in Greece) and turned to quality coffee.

To make a long story short I have a Rancilio Silvia Espresso machine paired with a Rancilio Rocky grinder. I don't have a particular type of coffee that I'm fond of, I buy specialty coffees from www.cafetaf.gr and I choose from a wide variety of ... varieties from Costa Rica, Brazil, Nicaragua and Africa.

I consume about 1 Kilogram or more per month, drinking one or two double espresso shots per day.
It's a daily ritual...

Yep, you just can't beat a stonking cup of the black stuff in the morning! :D

I've recently been using freshly ground coffee from the Redroaster Coffee House in Brighton (UK). Its always getting great reviews and rightly so.

Lovely stuff!

Hi fjbass: I hear what AndyBigHair is saying. Yet in my experience as far as both coffee and tea are concerned it is impossible to beat Taylors of Harrogate. Quite simply the best on the planet (seriously):

Though for espresso machines Italian brands are also ideal. Something off-beat can be fun, but good old Lavazza works very nicely too. We use that when Mrs C does her frothy iced coffee, which I find the essential accompaniment when making bone compensated guitar nuts.

Mmmmmm - foamy!

Blimey Mr C!

That frothed milk looks like it should be in a food group all of it own! Looks darn tasty indeed!

Mrs Bighair too, makes a nice frothy cup...

She'd made the Thundercats stencil herself! Who's a clever girl then? :D

I spent the rest of the week running round the house shouting "COFFEE! HOOOOOOOHHH!"

I had to look at that picture 3 times to see the coffee, Ceri. I thought it was another piece of bone.

At home when I am in the mood for coffee I just use old fashioned Folger's.

I hate to support them, but when I'm out I still hit the local Starbucks.

Oh man, that is too cool! My kind of woman! 8)

Do I get to meet Mrs BH when we take our tonewood shopping trip? Or are you planning to be too ashamed of how much beer you will drink and expecting to need a little sleep on the beach to get over it before inflicting yourself upon the Better Half again?

[Waving] Hi Ms BigHair! :D

Cheers - C

i buy whatever is on sale. i've never been much for those latte/cappucino types of drinks.

i remember being in the chicago airport. my flight was delayed, so i decided to get a cup of coffee. went into the place (starbucks maybe- it's been probably 15 yrs.). i looked up at the menu board, asked for a black cup of regular coffee, and they looked at me like i was nuts

Starbucks French Roast. I buy it at Costco in a 2.5 lb bag. I grind it as I need it and I use l use lots. Prolly 2 - 3 times what most people use. I like strong coffee. Think I'll make some now.....

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
