over the past few days I've been feelin the blues.the only thing that stops the blues is the blues.It helps being on the fourm and tryin to keep my mind sane with projects. but only one thing I've found makes it all go away,the blues.that sayin something about how powerful music is.

Yep,superkid,playing the blues will release some of the tension inside and you can put lots of feeling into it when you really are kind of blue.Makes the music sound better.

That is how the music got its name. Guys playing to feel better about that not so fun times in life. If it helps play all you can, everybody gets bummed out from time to time. If you can deal with in a positive way (like you are doing by playing the blues) instead of a negative one (like kurt cobain did with drugs and shotgun) you will be much better off in the long run.

It's good you hit on a way to deal with the Middle School Blues at such an early age.

You're right, a good way to work through down moments is with your music. I wrote one of the best songs I ever wrote the day my grandmother died. It helped me to deal with the negative emotions and pain.

To Negative Creep: I'll assume the earlier post regarding Cobain's issues with narcotics was a stab at humor on your part. If it was such an attempt, don't quit your day job.
Also, remember who you're talking to--if my parents thought that someone was talking like that to me when I was 12, I would have been banned from this forum. SuperKid might suffer repercussions from your jackasserie.

It's ironic that blues is actually feel-good music. Go to any blues fest, blues bar (well, SuperKid can't do that yet, but you know what I mean), or blues performance and you'll see people having the time of their life while somebody's up on stage lamenting the most horrible experiences a person can have--loss, death, poverty, etc.

I guess it's because we're expressing what bothers us, even if we can't do anything about it.

...but then again, there's happy blues, too.
