Gear lists are annoying as well.

What's the point?

the gear list is usually in the "signature" line on your "profile page"... recent adaptations to the forum only allow a certain amount of characters you can enter though. you can edit your profile in the user control panel at the top right of the forum page.

That's how it's done. Some members post big pictures, quotes and or gear list in their signature line. Do whatever you want. Everyone else does!! Don't be discouraged by what others think!!

+1 No disrespect intended but I'm not all that impressed to be reminded of what others own on every post. What impresses me more is how it's used.

I'm glad to see there is no disrespect towards other members!!
I see a lot of things on here I would not do but I'm not distressed by it as long as it's harmless to others. :|

Moving on.

Wow, I didn't think it was a big deal but I guess emebers have a opinion about these things. I'll keep what I have to myself. Those few of you get rid of thiose big photos you have in every post!

Don't get upset. The big photos bother me too. Post some photos of your gear. We all do. We're proud of it. The list thing is just eh. Sort of like daily bragging.

Having large photos in the sig line wastes bandwidth. When the forum runs slow, it can be a contributing factor.

Does anyone look at the gear pic thread? It's way too big.

I don't see of it as bragging... haha. I may be biased, but even so, that's why I have it.

I have this so you can see where I stand. I'm a telecaster player, and I have a Gibson. I own a Fender tube amp. It's not bragging... I like my stuff, but I'm not bragging.
