Even tough I was in my 20's during the 90s, I was still listening to Classic Rock. Now that I revist the songs, there are a couple of gems that I really enjoy playing.

I was too young to really experience the 90s, I was born in '89 so really when I first started getting into music it was '99, 2000, the start of the nu metal and skater punk era. It's all rubbish music really, but holds a lot of memories of school and the like for me.

Looking back on the 90s there are some bands that I would have liked to have seen live back then (RATM, Ocean Colour Scene, Nirvana, Pixies etc) but all in all I think right now there's some fantastic music still being made.

I used to be totally into classic rock, wouldn't listen to anything else, but now not so much. I still love it and Led Zep are still one of my favourite bands amongst others like Cream, but you just gotta live in the present and see all the great bands about now - else you'll regret it IMO.

Ditto, except for a couple (New Radicals, GooGoo Dolls).

Music definately got better when Christian Alt caught on. Ah, good ole heavy tasteful music. I love classic rock too though. LED ZEPPLIN ROCKS! The 90's is prolly the only era I can't find anyone I like in. I love bands from the eighties like The Cure, The Smiths, some B52's, Genesis, etc. Bands from the 70's like Zepplin, Jethro Tull, The Who, Queen, etc. And all them other eras. But since I was born in 91 I s'pose I never really caught on then but I can't really think of much that was going on in the music world besides rap getting popular and pop taking over, man must've been a pain in the nether region.

But now we've got some good bands like Switchfoot All American Rejects, (bear with me, they are kinda girly but they fall in the same category), Anberlin, some good songs like Closing time, Hey there Delilah (I'm a sucker for acoustic stuff) and I'm No Superman (Scrubs theme) are really an improvement from I'M GONNA FIGHT, FOR MY RIGHT, TO PAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRTAY! I MEAN PULEEZE!

The Beastie boys are awesome!

Besides they love Zep as much as you do, hell they sampled them enough. Their new instrumental sound is excellent too. I suggest you try their new album seeing as you dont like rap, there's no lyrics in sight.

I'll second that. I'd rather listen to the Beasties 10 hours straight than hear "Hey, There Delilah" even one more time in my life.
