So anyone that has been paying attention knows that I was looking for a nice, lower-priced tube amp. After reading a thousand reviews and watching every demo video I could find, I chose to order a Jet City Amps jca2112rc (20-watt 1 x 12 combo + reverb). Well I ordered the amp last Tuesday, and UPS dropped it off at my house about an hour ago.
Let me start by saying this...This amp cranks! For a 20 watt combo, this thing is pretty loud. And the tone is awesome; compliments the Tele quite nicely.
For those unfamiliar with these amps, it is designed for Jet City by Mike Soldano.
All tube with 3 12ax7s in the preamp and 2 EL84s in the power amp. And a 12 inch Eminence speaker, designed specifically for Jet City. Everything seems to be well built and heavy duty, and I couldn't be happier. I'll put up a sound clip later on today or tomorrow.
Any yeah, I know the rule...no picture, no amp...so here's the proof...lol.

Congrats! That's a good looking amp.

It's been way too long since I've had a New Amp Day...I'm a bit jealous!

While we're waiting on a soundclip, tell us--does it sound more Vox-y or more Marshall-y? I'm making an assumption because it's an EL84 tube...

Definitely more of the vox type glassy/transparent tone. Great definition on each note of the chord even when the gain is dimed.

This Jet City is a lot of bang for the buck, and it sounds great! I probably would have picked up an Egnater if I had more cash.

Thanks ABS. This thing sounds great. I'm really impressed that they were able make an amp this nice and then sell it for $300. It really is a great amp, and I'm more impressed with it than I thought I'd be.

I especially like the blue with blue light. Great amp and I bet it's loud.
