Hi again,

Have finally found some poor souls who are happy for me to play with them.

Not quite Rock & Rollers... more hair in rollers.

None the less, looking forward to my first session and hoping to improve my own play by playing with musicians of more experience..

Guitarist, Flautist, Clarinetist and Violinist...all around my own age which will help.

They seem to be into folksy stuff so it's out with the Acoustic to start. All good experience.

I might try to high-jack the Guitar guy if he fancies going a bit noisy some other night.

Very cool indeed! Congrats! Sounds like a very interesting mix. I like playing music with many different musicians and many different styles of music and instruments. You always learn new things that way regardless of your age.

Hi strat789, Come back to telling us about stuff like this and leave the other alone now. I believe you have a lot to offer the forum. Don't let yourself get carried away with negative exchanges with other members and remember that you came here to enhance your musical experiences. You can learn a lot here and the members really are okay.
I have been watching the events unfolding from the sidelines and I understand your initial frustration at being given, what seemed like a sharp answer to a query.
I am not taking any side here. Let the other stuff drop now and take a new, positive start and give yourself and the forum a chance to re-discover your aspirations as a member with friendly purpose and a thirst for positive enlightenment.
I wish you peace and friendly relations in the future.
